You almost got the overview page right, with the exception that you used | (= pipe; shift-\ on many keyboards) where there should have been │ (= alt-179). │ is the full height of a line, while | isn't. So when you use │ (and a proper browser...), the vertical lines match up and run continuously, without gaps.
The easiest way to create the lines in front of the link, is to copy those of the line above, so all you have to do is add a wee bit at the end.
Fixed it now, but for futute reference. You can also find this info on the talk:overview page.

The way to add you page to a category is to include a link to that category on your page. Normally this is done at the end of the page.
Each (sub-)category has a box at the top of the page that reads "To add your chapter to this category, put this code at the end of your chapter:". That's what you do: put the code that's listed there to the end of your chapter.

Done, thanks for the pointer. Is Mozilla Firefox not a proper browser? I'm confused - but that's no surprise.

Do we add people with no speaking part? I assumed not, hence have not added Arwen.

File:Overview detail.gifYes, Firefox is most certainly a proper browser. See here a detail of how the overview page looks in Firefox. Notice how the vertical lines run through uninterrupted. Of course, if you have messed with Firefox's settings in ways you shouldn't, and for example selected a non-monospaced font as your default monospace font, anything depending on the fact that a monospaced font is, in fact, monospace, as this table is, will not work.

Add people with no speaking part? Well, that depends. I don't think the water creature (assumed to be The Watcher) spoke much when he attacked Faramir, but I'd say he played a vital part in that chapter.
But you're right in assuming it's best not to include any character that's mentioned: otherwise what advantage would this time-consuming indexing have over simply searching for the character?
