Editing Talk:Back in Lorien, Aragorn seeks out Faramir who is nowhere to be found.

You ''almost'' got the [[overview]] page right, with the exception that you used | (= pipe; shift-\ on many keyboards) where there should have been │ (= alt-179). │ is the full height of a line, while | isn't. So when you use │ (and a proper browser...), the vertical lines match up and run continuously, without gaps.<br>
The easiest way to create the lines in front of the link, is to copy those of the line above, so all you have to do is add a wee bit at the end.<br>
Fixed it now, but for futute reference. You can also find this info on the [[talk:overview]] page.

The way to add you page to a category is to include a link to that category on your page. Normally this is done at the end of the page. <br>
Each (sub-)category has a box at the top of the page that reads "To add your chapter to this category, put this code at the end of your chapter:". That's what you do: put the code that's listed there to the end of your chapter.

Do we add people with no speaking part? I assumed not, hence have not added Arwen.

Notice how the vertical lines run through uninterrupted. Of course, if you have messed with Firefox's settings in ways you shouldn't, and for example selected a non-monospaced font as your default monospace font, anything depending on the fact that a monospaced font is, in fact, monospace, as this table is, will not work.

Add people with no speaking part? Well, that depends. I don't think the water creature (assumed to be The Watcher) spoke much [[Thorongil rescues Faramir despite his injury|when he attacked Faramir]], but I'd say he played a vital part in that chapter.<br>
But you're right in assuming it's best not to include any character that's mentioned: otherwise what advantage would this time-consuming indexing have over simply ''searching'' for the character?

Really like the chapter, Arwen can be nice when she tries ;)

People with no speaking parts - I've been adding people if they speak in the chapter or if they're present during the scene and play an important part. (e.g the water creature, who I am going to add but wanted to put it in a general category but can't decide what to call it (Evil creatures or something?), then orcs can go in it as well.

If they do not speak and are not present (e.g. only mentioned by someone else) I haven't added them. So Arwen wouldn't be included.

I had thought that too... I just thought it was nice she actually told someone he was carried off... She could have said he'd gone willingly... or not said anything at all.

As for why she's stalking Faramir... There could be many reasons... I am sure many of them aren't nice at all! ;)
